Beach of Dreams

Beach of Dreams is a poetic meditation on walking, the changing landscape and the effects of climate change. It follows the participatory journey of a small group of people to walk 500 miles over 35 days along the east coast of England. Capturing memories, loss and dreams of the people they met. Through the use of montage and sound, the film draws awareness to the relationships among the images of the long journey and the several voices of the participants and the malleability of their juxtaposition. The film is a poetic collection of asides and digressions that form a portrait of the embodied physicality and human effort of the long coastal path journey where multiple voices, geography and imagination meet.

Directed, shot and edited (2022).
